Board of Selectmen Meeting Minutes
April 16, 2014
1. CALL TO ORDER: The regular meeting was called to order at 7p.m. by
Rick Micklon, Lenny Adler were present, Chairman Hal Ferguson absent.
2. FLAG SALUTE: Audience and Board members saluted the flag.
3. ACTION ON MINUTES:
Meeting minutes from April 02, 2014. *Motion to accept minutes. LA/RM –Unanimous.
HPRC minutes from April 08, 2014. Motion to accept minutes. LA/RM-Unanimous.
4. SPECIAL EVENTS:
A. None.
5. COMMITTEE REPORTS:
A. None.
6. DEPARTMENT HEADS:
A. None.
7. QUESTIONS/COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC:
A. Herb Oslen ask about the letter from Otisfield Conservation Committee April 6, 2014 to Ordinance Policy Review Committee in which OCC would like to be informed in writing of the any proposal to Planning Board and OPRC. OCC would like to be able to give written comments and have them be part of the official record. Joe Zilinsky Chair of OPRC sent the letter to the Board of Selectmen.
LA/RM review the letter and LA /RM stated it was above the scope of the OCC to have a say in the final decision. HO as member of the PB and public agreed that not OCC place.
8. ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT ITEMS:
A. State Surplus Donee renewal, LA/RM signed renewal for State Surplus. LA suggested he look at the state surplus for a Pick up truck for the highway department.

10. UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
A. None
11. SELECTMEN’S ITEMS TO BE DISCUSSED & VOTED ON:
A. Town Warrant: * Motion to sign Warrant#19 to pay the town bills. LA/RM-Unanimous.
12. QUESTION OR COMMENTS FROM THE BOARD:
A. Selectmen would like a light at Community Hall from dusk to dawn. Update RM spoke to Flanders Electric to do the work. The light will be on the side of the building to the right of the door.
B. LA said that as of January 1, 2015 the OCRSW will be going to Single-Stream recycling for Otisfield more information to come at a later date.
C. LA stated that the Fire Tanker Truck is almost finished.
D. RM attended the MSAD#17 budget hearing on 4/15/14 gave the BOS an update on what was talked about at the hearing.
